When we think of space, the collective response is to reference space in terms of what we see.

The physical identity of space.

There are many books and shows about how to declutter and feng shui your space to help you grow.

Yet have you ever stopped and thought about the space in your mind?

What exactly is taking up the space in your mind?

There is a great question that is circulating right now, and it is powerful:

‘Who or what is renting space in your head?’

Great question, right?

That statement resonated so much with me.

What is exactly taking up space in my mind?

Am I still replaying events that are no longer relevant?

Am I walking around with a negative thought that is still tying me to the past?

That latter question is one many should ask themselves often.

Do you know a person who completely lives in the past?

I am not referring to a person who brings up some positive past event to laugh about during a conversation.

Nor am I referencing that individual who brings up a past event to share to give context to a lesson.

I am speaking about that person who is still angry about something that happened, or they have preserved to have happened a wicked long time ago.

Studies have shown that our memories aren’t always the truth.

When we retell a story 50% is made up.

Meaning, that the story you end up telling usually becomes based on how you wish to feel at that moment.

Often that story takes on a very different turn than the actual event.

So, when you are hanging on to a negative event from 10 years ago or even 2 weeks ago, you are most likely being more dramatic than need be.

Especially, when you feel that someone has wronged you.

Are you letting that person or negative event live in your brain?

Ask yourself why?

9 times out of 10 the person that you think has wronged you, is going about their life with you as a consideration.

So why are you still considering them as a factor in your life?

‘You are letting them live rent-free in your head.’

The art of moving on is a powerful one.

Just like you let go of worn clothing and chip plates, let the stuff that doesn’t serve you go too.

I believe the best way is to start a meditation practice.

The more you calm your mind and become involved in the silence the better you feel.

The better you feel the less you want to go back to rehash those negative moments.

‘Life is about feeling good’ — Abraham Hicks

Decide on your story.

Wake in the morning and decide who you want to be.

Do you want to be an angry person or a vibration of love?

Talk to yourself.

Make your mission to know thy self.

These efforts will affect the chemistry of your body.

You can rewire yourself to be the person you were meant to be.

Deprogram yourself from the negative and program yourself to achieve your dream.

Life is about growing.

Let go of the old and embrace the new.

Change your thoughts and change your life.

Keep the curiosity of a child and you will live the way you are meant to live.

Joyfully.

Now go and declutter your mind.

Let go of what doesn’t serve you and watch your reality open to what does serve you.

Remember:

‘A belief is a thought you keep thinking.’- Abraham Hicks.

Thank you for letting me share.

Be kind. Be well. Smile.
